This restaurant is also a significant player in the Providence music scene. Owner Sylvia Moubayed has created an atmosphere most conducive to extended lounging over cafe latte. The food is inexpensive, unpretentious, sometimes quite interesting (mascarpone cheese in whipped potatoes, mmm). One lunch special to try is the chicken Baboo ($6.95). The dinner menu includes some delicious prix fixe specials. Some people come just for the scrumptious desserts. Two of the best are the "Autumn Flower" chocolate torte ($3.75) and the rum cake ($3.50).
